My inspiration for the 'Cheeky Chickens' series came from my neighbours chickens. Feeding them little treats nearly every day for the last few years, they have become my friends. They run over as fast as their little legs will take them as soon as they see or hear me. Chickens are quiet comical little creatures with their quirky characters. So I have taken this as a subject matter and created work which is fun, light-hearted and colourful with a touch of humour. By putting them in odd positions, and doing weird stuff that chickens just don’t do emphasises their wackiness and changing their posture and actions giving them personalities and characters.
