Christine O'Sullivan - abstract painter.

The urban landscape is a key influence in Christine's work; the NYC series of paintings are no exception. The grid of streets, the brash colours of neon billboards, the proliferation of yellow taxis, and the extraordinary views from skyscrapers are some of the sensations, which remain with me and influence these paintings. Rather than recalling the actual place they aim to capture the sensation of the city.

Christine was the winner of this years Artweeks Art Wine competition, her design was the cover of the 2009 Artweeks guide as well as being on 600 bottles of Carignan / Merlot blend of red French wine, from the Oxford Wine Company.
